Manufacturing Process

 

Dura Slab is manufactured using a unique construction technique where two high modulus, high strength fibreglass solid plates are bonded to each side of a fibreglass grating mesh core material. This produces a composite structure that is extremely stiff and strong but very light weight. It is also corrosion & impact resistant, maintenance free and is finished with an Angular Quartz anti-slip gritted surface for maximum grip in all conditions.

 

British Standard Approved

 

Dura Slab has already passed the British Standard BS EN 124 test. The tests were conducted for certain spans and loads. Certification can be provided for these products immediately. Please note that we can also arrange for BS approval for project specific span and load requirements.

 

Fire Resistance

 

Dura Slab can be manufactured to British Standard BS 476 Part 7 Class 1 and ASTM E-84 Class 1: flame rating of 25 or less with self-extinguishing requirements of D-635.
